Adding to Megan's comment, at the same time I see the night sky above your feet, it floats back and forth between distant illumination and close foliage. The ground becomes abstracted both because of the orientation of the image and the scattering of light available. It expands and contracts the space depending on where you look.
I really like the perspective you have in this picture. It looks like you are up in a tree on a branch and just looking down ready to jump.
