The vertical repetition in this photograph really draws me through and around the frame, the reflection of the sailboat masts and posts in the water elongates the geometry of the space, it's pretty lovely. The soft color palette reflects the calm space, I'm put at ease by the time of day and the setting.

  2. For me, it's the calm form of the water, and the form of the sky, and the delicate salmon in between, that attracts me. Water and sky are not mirror images, but they possess the same shape. So it's this eerie, splendid quality of light, this particular moment in time, this stillness, in which these boats, this harbor is captured, that I am drawn to.
